Application Cases from the Field

Four application stories the company publishes about its own terminals — seeding, spraying, excavation, mining dispatch and auto-steering.

Seeding and spraying: the 10-inch stories

The company's case pages describe its T10 vehicle-mounted computer inside an intelligent seeding control system — setting parameters, monitoring rows and raising alerts — and state that more than 1,000 PDS 10-inch computers have been shipped across its smart seeding and intelligent spraying projects in China. A companion case puts a 10-inch rugged terminal at the core of an intelligent variable-rate spraying system, and analyses why vehicle-grade terminals with CAN bus, multi-GNSS/RTK options and dual operating systems outlast consumer tablets in that role. Read the unit figures as the company's own reporting of its projects, and the engineering content as the useful part: section control, rate control and anti-overspray performance are implement conversations held over CAN, which is why the terminal's bus set matters as much as its screen.

Machinery, mining and steering: the other published cases

For construction, the company presents a T8 application on an excavator, as the in-cab display and control terminal for digital construction, discussing RTK guidance roles across excavators, bulldozers, graders and compactors. For mining, it describes its 8-inch T8 and T8 Pro terminals in an intelligent dispatch application in open-pit mines, with IP66 protection and RTK positioning in the specification list. For agriculture beyond seeding, it publishes an auto-steering case walking through the terminal's role in RTK GNSS guidance, system integration and camera monitoring, with size considerations across 7-inch, 10-inch and 12.1-inch computers including the T12. Together the five stories map closely onto the solution pages of this site.

  • T10 in intelligent seeding control; company states 1,000+ 10-inch units shipped for seeding in China
  • 10-inch terminal at the core of a variable-rate spraying system
  • T8 as excavator display and control terminal for digital construction
  • T8 and T8 Pro in open-pit mine dispatch
  • Auto-steering case covering guidance, integration and camera monitoring

The models in these cases

For documented field applications, the T10 brings a 10.1" IPS, 1280 x 800, brightness 750 cd/m2 or higher, fully laminated multi-touch and runs Android 10.0, or Linux kernel 4.9 with QT 5.12 (optional) on 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.5 GHz. Its positioning fit is GPS + BeiDou module (optional fit); RTK module UM482 or UB482 (optional), and the interface side reads: 14PIN connector x1 and 23PIN connector x1, both function extension interfaces; default function set of 4 x camera, 2 x CAN, 2 x RS232 and 1 x 100M Ethernet. That is why it appears in this shortlist: the combination matches the data and connections this work actually uses, in a housing specified for 9-36 V DC input (ISO 7637-II); IP66 sealing; operating temperature -20 to +70 C.

Using these cases in your own evaluation

Treat published cases as a starting hypothesis, not a reference visit: they show which models the maker itself reaches for in each application, and which specifications it emphasises. Then run the only test that transfers — a sample of the same model in your machine, on your software, in your conditions. Ask the sales team for the case material closest to your application when you enquire.
