T7 7-Inch Vehicle Tablet
The compact 7-inch terminal for tight cabs and guidance work.
View the T7The T10 is the model PDS reaches for in its best-documented field stories: the company describes more than 1,000 of its 10-inch computers shipped across its smart seeding and intelligent spraying projects in China, and a 10-inch terminal at the core of an intelligent spraying system. The hardware explains the fit. A 10.1-inch panel shows a full guidance screen without crowding, the expansion combinations run to four camera inputs, two CAN channels and two RS232 ports, and RTK modules from the UM482/UB482 family are listed options. Memory starts at 2 GB with 16 GB storage and can be ordered higher, which lets a project match the terminal to the software it actually runs.
Start with the screen, because the operator lives with it in every kind of light. T10 carries 10.1" IPS, 1280 x 800, brightness 750 cd/m2 or higher, fully laminated multi-touch. Brightness of 750 cd/m2 or higher is the figure that matters at midday in an open cab, and full lamination keeps the touch layer readable when dust films the glass. The panel size also decides how much of the application can stay visible: guidance lines, implement status and camera thumbnails compete for the same estate, and a well-chosen size removes most screen swapping from the driver's routine.
Under the screen, T10 runs on 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.5 GHz, with 2 GB RAM (4 GB optional) / 16 GB storage (up to 256 GB optional), and Android 10.0, or Linux kernel 4.9 with QT 5.12 (optional). That combination is aimed at the software this class of terminal actually carries: guidance and dispatch clients, implement controllers, telematics and camera viewers. Memory headroom decides how gracefully those apps coexist, so projects planning to stack several of them should read the memory line before the processor line. The operating system choice matters just as much — an integrator with an existing Android or Linux codebase should match the terminal to the codebase, not the other way round.
Seeding and spraying controllers ask a terminal to be three things at once: a guidance display, a machine controller talking to the implement over CAN, and a data logger the operator can read at a glance. The T10 is specified for that middle role. Its dual-operating-system choice — Android 10, or Linux with kernel 4.9 and QT 5.12 — matters to implement makers who already ship Linux control software. When you compare the T10 with the T10B and T10 Pro on this site, the honest differences are the processor generation, the standard operating system and the camera count, not the screen or the sealing.
Positioning and communication decide whether a vehicle tablet is a display or a working terminal. On T10: GPS + BeiDou module (optional fit); RTK module UM482 or UB482 (optional). Alongside that, the communication set is: WiFi 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n; Bluetooth 4.0 BLE; 4G LTE via Quectel EC200U CAT1 (European band version). For guidance buyers, the distinction that matters is between standard GNSS accuracy for mapping and logging, and RTK correction for repeatable centimetre-level passes. The option list, not the base unit, is where that decision lives, so name the accuracy your application needs when you ask for a quotation.
Vehicle electronics fail at the edges: power, water, dust, heat and vibration. The T10 is specified for 9-36 V DC input (ISO 7637-II); IP66 sealing; operating temperature -20 to +70 C. On interfaces, the published set is: 14PIN connector x1 and 23PIN connector x1, both function extension interfaces; default function set of 4 x camera, 2 x CAN, 2 x RS232 and 1 x 100M Ethernet. The housing measures 275 x 190 x 47.5 mm. Wide-voltage input with ISO 7637-II behaviour is what lets a terminal survive cranking dips and load dumps on real vehicle electrical systems, and IP66 sealing is what lets it survive pressure washing and harvest dust. Before ordering, walk the interface list against your harness drawing; the cheapest integration problem is the one found on paper.
